Tatyana Tandanpolie graduated from NYU with degrees in Journalism and Africana Studies and is a Martin Luther King, Jr. Scholars Program alumna. During her time in the journalism institute, she strove to amplify marginalized voices, particularly that of Black women and queer folk, in her stories. She has interned with CityScene Magazine, Dispatch Magazines and The Columbus Dispatch in her home of central Ohio, covering arts, entertainment, business and features. She has also received state and national awards for her first magazine cover story Open-Hearted: Dionte’ Johnson.
