Isabella Buitron is a 2022 New York University graduate from the College of Arts and Sciences. She majored in journalism and history on the pre-health track and plans to pursue a career in medicine. Isabella is currently working at Mount Sinai as a Clinical Research Coordinator for the ScreenPlus study.
Matigan King graduated from NYU with a degree in Journalism and French, and is pursuing a career that lies at the intersection of start-ups, venture capital, and health and wellness. Her dream is to become a professional learner, however that may look. In her free time she enjoys traveling with family, exploring New York’s vibrant gastronomic scene, cooking, reading, crossword puzzles, and physically getting after it.
Tatyana Tandanpolie graduated from NYU with degrees in Journalism and Africana Studies and is a Martin Luther King, Jr. Scholars Program alumna. During her time in the journalism institute, she strove to amplify marginalized voices, particularly that of Black women and queer folk, in her stories. She has interned with CityScene Magazine, Dispatch Magazines and The Columbus Dispatch in her home of central Ohio, covering arts, entertainment, business and features. She has also received state and national awards for her first magazine cover story Open-Hearted: Dionte’ Johnson.
Jean Zamora is a New York based journalist and visual artist. She got her BFA in Fine Art Photography in 2022 from New York University’s Tisch School of The Arts where she also studied Journalism and Media, Culture, and Communications. Her early work was published in the New York Times after winning their student editorial competition in her freshman year of high school. In the fall she will be attending UC Berkeley to get her Masters in Journalism.
